Dr. Li is an Affiliate Researcher of the Center of Excellence in Climate Change Communication Research at George Mason University of USA: http://climatechange.gmu.edu/team.html. She holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Xiamen University of China and an M.A. in Communication from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and a PhD from The University of Pennsylvania of USA with specializations in framing analysis of media performance on environmental news and Habermassian theory on media and democracy. Her academic interests include critical theories, cultural studies and media criticism. She is a member of the International Communication Association (ICA) and the International Association of Mass Communication Research (IAMCR). She teaches courses in research methods, canonic texts in media research and persuasion.
